Systems produce icons. Icons condense contexts and incorporate memory. Each one is the record of what a system needed to believe.

My practice begins where that certainty breaks. I reformulate pieces through a travestismo simbólico that draws from the appearance and logic of cultural referents to subvert them from within their own construction — incorporating new uses, symbols, and formal charges that displace the piece toward discourse. The resulting work does not represent an idea, nor does it illustrate one.

It is one.

I operate across four simultaneous variables: form, function, symbol, territory. With full awareness of the gesture — through seduction, through estrangement — until the invisible is unveiled.The piece escapes what it announces. The recognizable collapses, and in that collapse, what once seemed familiar becomes evidence.

What my work proposes has no resolution. It has persistence. And in that persistence — in the act of recognizing what systems prefer not to name — the denunciation is not declared.

It is revealed.
