The work dialogues around the Cuban migratory phenomenon based on the idea of fragmentation. In this sense, Pangea becomes a metaphor of the nation; dismembered homeland supercontinent that, in its movements, has generated insulas: extensions of the mother earth in other cartographies, physical and symbolic. Such factual and intersubjective territorialization destroys the idea of a single, geographically located nation, and proposes a look at the exodus as a phenomenon responsible for the emergence of dissimilar homeland continents: Cuban communities settled in various parts of the world that carry with them a piece of their native land. To do this, it uses earth excavated from a terrain of the national geography; with which it constructs the coordinates of countries that have historically been receptors of Cuban migrants. These coordinates constitute islands in themselves; parts of that telluric whole (spatial, social and symbolic) that makes up Cubanness.
