Funcionalmente disfuncional (Functionally dysfunctional) proposes a disarticulation of the design furniture product from the crisis of its fundamental variables: materiality, morphology, ergonomics and functionality. The reconfiguration of the utilitarian object, which destroys its use value, makes use of the aesthetic-conceptual precepts that art proposes; assuming content production as a new variable. The piece of furniture is refunctionalized, becoming an artistic object with significant potential. The uselessness of the object as a piece of furniture thus aims to show the crisis as a metaphor; symbol of systemic fragmentation. The work is nothing more than a look at the social space from the furniture object, the individual space from the user and the symbolic space from the link. The artistic result is an anarchic product in its objective predefinition and totally coherent in its symbolic construction.
